Tajik Deputy FM Huseinzoda Receives New Head of ICRC Mission

DUSHANBE, 19.10.2020 (NIAT Khovar) – On 19 October Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Muzaffar Khuseinzoda received the newly appointed head of the Mission of the International Committee of Red Cross in Tajikistan Angelika Schopp.
During the meeting the parties discussed ICRC activities and its humanitarian assistance programs in the country, capacity building of relevant government structures, promotion and dissemination of the International Humanitarian Law. Special attention was given to the ICRC humanitarian assistance to healthcare facilities, orphanages and emergency institutions during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Head of IСRC Mission thanked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other state structures for attention and support to their activities in Tajikistan and assistance in implementation of humanitarian mission of the organization.
