Tajik FM Muhriddin Hold Virtual Summit with UN Under-Secretary-General for Counter-Terrorism

DUSHANBE, 26.10.2020 (NIAT Khovar) – On October 23, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sirodjidin Muhriddin held a virtual meeting with the UN Under-Secretary-General for Counter-Terrorism and Head of the UN Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT) Vladimir Voronkov.
During the meeting the two sides discussed key issues of cooperation focusing on the fight against terrorism and extremism as well as regulating joint activities within the framework of the Dushanbe Process Conference on Countering Terrorism and its Financing.
The Dushanbe Conference was the first regional conference in a series of follow-up events to the first High-Level Conference on Counter-Terrorism that was convened in June 2018 in New York by the Secretary-General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres.
