Tajikistan and France Hold Inter-Ministerial Political Consultations

DUSHANBE, 13.01.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France held the fourth round of political consultations via videoconference.
The delegation of Tajikistan was headed by the acting head of the Department of European and American Countries Firdavs Usmonov, and the France delegation was led by the Deputy Head of Department for continental Europe Sylvain Guiague.
The consultations focused on a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and France in the field of politics, economics, environment, health, education, culture, tourism, water and energy cooperation, as well as combating extremism and terrorism.
A fruitful exchange of views also took place on the issues of fight against COVID-19, modern challenges and threats, strengthening relations in the framework of international organizations and regional cooperation.
