President Emomali Rahmon Arrives in Sughd Province

DUSHANBE, 03.02.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President Emomali Rahmon arrived on a working trip to Sughd Province in order to become familiar with the socio-economic development and take part in the Sada holiday.
The working visit began with the operation of a Subhi Zarrin which produces margarine and dairy butter, and Nazar, which specializes in poultry and meat products. Both companies which are valued at 5 million, belong to Karomat Nazarova and are located in the north-eastern industrial zone of Khujand.
Subhi Zarrin’s production capacity is 360 tonnes per year.
President Rahmon instructed the management of the company to pay special attention to the quality of products and gradually increase the volume of production taking into account the needs of the domestic market.
Nazar’s production capacity is over 100 tonnes of poultry meat per month and over 1,200 tonnes annually. The company was built on the basis of the Nazar Poultry Factory, which currently houses over 30,000 chickens.
President Emomali Rahmon also visited the Poultry Meat Processing Exhibition and highly evaluated the initiative taken by entrepreneurs to contribute to the development of the industry.
Next, he took part in the opening ceremony of a company which produces croutons. The company belongs to Jumaboy Abdulhakimov.
Its planned capacity is 18 tonnes of products per month. The new industrial enterprise employs 22 people, most of whom are women.
Emomali Rahmon expressed gratitude to the patriotic entrepreneur for the establishment of new manufacturing enterprises and their support of the government.
While inspecting the activity of Khujand-Agro which produces dry fruits and vegetables and packaging, President Rahmon took part in the launching ceremony of their new production line.
The new technological line will be able to process and dry up to 30 tonnes of onions per day.
Khujand-Agro was established with the contribution of local entrepreneurs in cooperation with development partners Arkun.
