President Emomali Rahmon Receives Letters of Credence from Foreign Ambassadors

DUSHANBE, 18.02.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President Emomali Rahmon received letters of credence from six foreign ambassadors. The ceremony took place in the Palace of the Nation.
Mohammad Zahir Aghbar of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Michel Tarran of the French Republic, Dr. Luai Issa of Palestine, Agostino Pinna of the Italian Republic, Mihai Matyash Galoshfay of Hungry, and Refik Šabanović of the Republic of Croatia presented their credentials.
President Rahmon congratulated the newly appointed ambassadors on the commencement of their new post as heads of diplomatic missions in Tajikistan and expressed with confidence that the ambassadors will make valuable contributions to the revitalization of partnership relations between our countries in various fields of cooperation through their fruitful efforts and activities.
He also shared his view on the current situation in the world and noted that against the background of the negative consequences pandemic, the world community is currently facing unprecedented threats and challenges.
It was stressed that in such a sensitive situation, mutual support and fruitful international cooperation is a key factor in combating today’s challenges.
In closing, he once again congratulated all ambassadors on the official beginning of their important diplomatic mission and expressed the government’s readiness to facilitate their diplomatic activity.
