Tajik Delegation Visits Dubai to Develop Trade Cooperation

DUSHANBE, 10.03.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – From Match 1 through March 6, the working delegation of Tajikistan headed by the Director of the Export Agency Shavkat Bobozoda visited Dubai in order to develop trade cooperation and study the experience of the UAE in the field of packaging agricultural products, including dried fruits.
Bobozoda met with the Chairman of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry Majid al-Ghurair, where they discussed issues of strengthening cooperation in the field of trade, especially the creation of joint ventures, and export of various goods and products. Export and investment opportunities of Tajikistan were also presented at the meeting.
Al- Ghurair noted that in order to determine the production and export potential of the countries of Central Asia, including Tajikistan, a special working group was created in the chamber, and this issue is currently being studied.
The Tajik delegation also visited the largest free trade zone Jebel Ali Dubai, where more than 8,000 companies operate, and which includes four large water ports.
Bobozoda also met with the head of the Jebel Ali Free Trade Zone (JAFZA DP World). The Tajik delegation got acquainted with 50 years of experience of this Free Trade Zone.
Bobozoda also met with the Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry Abdullo al-Uwais and exchanged views on strengthening cooperation in trade, industry, agriculture, tourism and export. In addition, a commercial forum was organized, during which the Tajik delegation held negotiations with the business circles of Sharjah to establish cooperation in the field of packaging dried fruits and exporting fruits, honey, drinks and other agricultural products to the UAE.
The Tajik delegation also visited the exhibition of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which operates on a permanent basis, and got acquainted with Sharjah’s products.
A visit to a number of large companies in Dubai in the field of product packaging, such as Coris Packing, Rato Packing, Hasani Group and DMSS, followed the list. Here they held negotiations with the management of companies on the development of cooperation.
