Tajik Embassy in Turkey Celebrates International Navruz Holiday

DUSHANBE, 22.03.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – On March 20, the Tajik Embassy in Turkey celebrated the International Navruz Holiday, reports Khovar new correspondent in Turkey Manizha Maksud, who received accreditation on March 19 at the Office of the Turkish President and started working in Istanbul.
The event was attended by representatives of ministries and departments, the diplomatic corps accredited in Ankara, including the ambassadors of the countries of Areal Navruz, diplomatic missions of the CIS countries, a wide range of journalists, scientists and cultural figures, the intelligentsia of the host country and Tajik citizens.
In his speech, Tajik Ambassador Mahmadali Rajabiyon congratulated those present on the Navruz Holiday and recalled that Navruz is one of the oldest and most sacred traditions of our ancestors, the most important national holiday of the Tajik people.
“Thanks to state independence and the constant efforts of President Emomali Rahmon, this ancient holiday was revived, acquired its former glory as well as became a great national holiday that received international status,” Rajabiyon mentioned.
It was noted that the good traditions of Navruz are an excellent source of moral, creative and aesthetic education.
A concert program, an exhibition of folk crafts and national cuisine were organized in honor of Navruz. During the celebration, national dishes, sumanak, suzane, paintings, books, national dresses, tourist opportunities and product samples promoting the products of folk crafts of Tajikistan were also presented.
On March 21, the celebration of Navruz was held with the participation of representatives of 12 countries in Ankara.
Representatives of Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan, as the main guests, were greeted as guests of honor at the Navruz dastarkhan.
The event was also attended by the Mayor of Ankara, representatives of the ministries and departments of the host country, diplomatic missions in Ankara and the Tajik Ambassador Mahmadali Rajabiyon, who congratulated everyone on the Navruz holiday.
