International Navruz Holiday Celebrated in Ashgabat

DUSHANBE, 21.03.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – The Embassy of Tajikistan in Ashgabat hosted the celebration of International Navruz holiday with the participation of representatives of the diplomatic corps, guests, compatriots and employees of the Embassy.
The cultural corner was decorated with national treats and sweets, the symbols of Navruz, haft sin and haft shin were presented, as well as samples of national clothing such as needlework and embroidery, pottery, musical instruments, and products of ancient folk crafts were exhibited.
Ambassador of Tajikistan to Turkmenistan Vafo Niyatbekzoda noted the wise policy and consistent efforts of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to recognize Navruz as an International holiday.
It was also told about the need to represent national values, respect for the historical traditions of ancient honoring of ancestors, especially the humanitarian and peace-loving qualities of Navruz during the period of globalization processes.
In the cultural part of the event, children presented poems and songs about spring and Navruz.
