President Emomali Rahmon Made a Working Visit to Sughd Province

DUSHANBE, 09.04.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon is visiting Sughd Province to review the socio-economic development of the region, and to take part in the opening of the facility commemorating the 30th anniversary of independence.
His visit began in Buston, where he opened the first phase of the Fayzi Buston polyethylene plastic production company valued at 3 million somoni, and built by domestic entrepreneur Mukaddas Kodirova within the framework of the fourth national goal — rapid industrialization.
Its planned production capacity is 175,000 plastic bags per day and over 5 million per month.
In Bobojon Ghafurov district, President Rahmon also attended the opening ceremony of the secondary educational institution 23 in the Haidar Usmonov community, which was built by domestic entrepreneurs.
The opening ceremony of the Tibbi Sino Diagnostic and Medical Clinic, a shopping center, Faizullo restaurant, with the unveiling ceremony of the National Flag Square with a 50-meter flagpole followed the list.
While meeting with 100 orphans of the Sughd province, President Rahmon provided them with material and cash assistance packages.
President Rahmon also visited the city of Guliston and took part in the opening ceremony of the Training Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Next, he attended the opening ceremony of a new building of the Mother and Child Support Center Farzandi Vatan which provides treatment for, as well as living and educational spaces for 150 children left without guardians and suffering from various diseases. Another opening ceremony was for the Khursandi private kindergarten built by Askar Eshonov. As customary, President Rahmon provided gifts to over 110 orphan children and children from low-income families.
After starting the operation of the water supply line for irrigation of 100 hectares of agricultural land in Mazbut, Mamur S, Sitodel, and Tursunboy-bobo farming units, President Rahmon visited the Shukrullo Dehkon farm.
Concluding his visit in Istaravshan, he inspected the operations of Adl, which specializes in the production of children’s toys. The company built by local entrepreneur Mansur Umarov produces 12 million somoni worth of merchandise. The products are also exported to the markets of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
After arriving in Isfara, President Rahmon took part in the opening ceremony of the a multipurpose sports grounds, and a drinking water supply line which provides water to 15,000 people of Shurob. The water network is worth 13 million somoni, and was built at the expense of the Reserve Fund of the President of Tajikistan.
In Shurob of Isfara, he handed over the keys of 20 apartment units to three employments of the enforcement officers, ten low-income families, and seven young specialists working at Angisht.
In the village of Vorukh, he attended the opening ceremony of the cultural and entertainment complex Shirin, built by Sorbon Savriddinov. This was followed by the unveiling ceremony of the National Flag Square with a 50-meter flagpole, the opening ceremony for the Navruz Service Center specializing in confectionery products and which also includes a sewing workshop and shops for basic necessities, the newly renovated Palace of Culture, Special Counterterrorism Unit Alpha of the SCNS Department in Sughd region in the village of Vorukh, secondary educational institution 74, Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan in Vorukh followed the list.
While visiting the Association of Farmers of Vorukh village, President Rahmon gave start to laying out an intensive orchard and planted apple trees. The total area of orchards there has reached more than 1000 hectares. In the last five years, farmers have planted 76 hectares of orchards using idle crop land and hills within the framework of the State Program for the Development of Horticulture and Viticulture for 2016-2020.
President Rahmon also visited the Exhibition of Agricultural Products, National Cuisine and Handicrafts organized as part of the Period of Rural Development, Tourism and Folk Crafts. Over 13,000 farms operate in Isfara. Their agricultural output this year is over 253 million somoni, which is 11.2% more than compared to last year.
Last year, the farmers of Isfara produced over 11,000 tonnes of grain, 27,000 tonnes of potatoes, over 45,000 tonnes of vegetables, and over 24,000 tonnes of fruits.
