Tajikistan and Georgia Sign an Agreement on International Road Transport

DUSHANBE, 15.04.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Today in Tbilisi, Minister of Transport Azim Ibrohim and the Minister of Economy of Georgia Natia Turnava signed an agreement on international road traffic in order to intensify trade and economic cooperation.
The new agreement will contribute to furthering the development of road communications between the two countries.
This is the first time such an agreement has been signed between Tajikistan and Georgia.
The agreement defines the procedure for bilateral freight traffic, including transit to third countries using quota permits. Their exact number will be agreed upon annually.
The agreement fully provides for the regulation of legal issues related to all road transport.
