Presidents of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan Hold Phone Call

DUSHANBE, 13.05.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon had a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
In an atmosphere of friendship the heads of state exchanged warm Eid al-Fitr greetings and wishes each other well-being, peace, stability, and prosperity.
Rahmon and Mirziyoyev expressed satisfaction over the process of rapid development of friendly relations and multifaceted cooperation between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan within the framework of the strategic partnership.
They also reaffirmed their mutual intention to further enrich the partnership with new practical content during upcoming bilateral summit meetings, which are planned for the near future.
Some topical regional and international matter of mutual interest were also discussed.
