DUSHANBE, 20.05.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, Representatives Assembly deputies approved a grant agreement between Tajikistan, Trolleybus Enterprise and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for additional funding of the project Development of Public Transportation in Dushanbe.

This document was signed on August 28, 2020 in Dushanbe and was sent to the Representatives Assembly for approval.

The project aims to rehabilitate the trolleybus infrastructure in Dushanbe. The total cost of the project is $ 8 million, of which $ 5.2 million is a loan amount, and $ 2.8 million is a grant. Technical assistance in the amount of € 0.75 million was also provided for the implementation of the project.

The total grant amount is $ 2.8 million, of which $ 1.4 million (tranche 1) was approved by Representatives Assembly on January 15, 2020, and the remaining $ 1.4 million (tranche 2) was signed on August 28, 2020 in a separate agreement.
