DUSHANBE, 03.06.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Within the framework of his official visit to Pakistan, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held a meeting with the Chairman of the Senate of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani.
The issues of inter-parliamentary cooperation between the two nations were the main subject of the discussion.
President Rahmon expressed his satisfaction over the current state of bilateral relations between the two countries.
The two sides expressed interest in further enhancing inter-parliamentary ties and noted the necessity of intensifying activities of the inter-parliamentary friendship groups.
The legislators of both nations can play a major role in promoting relations and in economic, trade, education, and investment, cultural, as well as social, health care, security, defiance and environmental terms.
The officials also expressed confidence that bilateral relations between Tajikistan and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan can be further expanded and developed along with the national interests of both sides.
President Rahmon invited the Chairman of the Senate of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to visit Tajikistan.
