DUSHANBE, 27.07.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – To date, Tajikistan has not received requests to provide a platform for conducting inter-Afghan negotiations. This was said today the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Muhriddin at a press conference in Dushanbe.
According to him, the process of negotiations on a peaceful settlement in Afghanistan should be monitored with all seriousness.
“Despite the difficulties, we hope for the success of the Doha talks. Tajikistan welcomes all other dialogue platforms aimed at establishing peace and stability in Afghanistan,” said Muhriddin.
“Tajikistan emphasizes that it cooperates with the official structures of Afghanistan and supports the choice of the friendly people of Afghanistan. At the political level, Tajikistan has never had contacts with the Taliban,” he added.
