Tajik Delegation Attends the Online-Meeting of Central Asia and Afghanistan FMs

DUSHANBE, 07.07.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the Tajik delegation headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Muhriddin attended the online-meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Central Asian countries and Afghanistan. The meeting was initiated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan and the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA).
The parties exchanged views on the Afghan peace process, cooperation between the Central Asian countries and Afghanistan in addressing security challenges, as well as the need to jointly ensure the sustainable development of the region and eliminate the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Muhriddin briefed the participants on the results of the Heart of Asia — Istanbul Process 9th Ministerial Conference, which was held in Dushanbe on March 30 and emphasized the important role played by Tajikistan in the development of cooperation between the Central Asian countries and Afghanistan in the spheres of economy, trade, energy and security.
