Emomali Rahmon and Rustam Emomali Opens several Schools in Dushanbe

DUSHANBE, 01.09.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and Speaker of the National Assembly, Chairman of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali took part in the opening ceremony of the secondary educational institution number 133 in Dushanbe.
The multistory school was built to accommodate 2,560 students in two shifts by a local entrepreneur Bakhriddin Jurakhonov with a modern design that meets international standards.
Likewise, President Rahmon and Speaker Emomali opened the dormitory of the Boarding School for Orphans and Homeless children No. 1 in Dushanbe.
Following their acquaintance with the new-built dormitory, President Rahmon conversed with a group of 500 students and congratulated them with the upcoming 30th anniversary of independence and the beginning of the new academic year.
“Care for orphans, homeless, and those in need has a special place in the social policy of the government, and beneficial and effective measures are constantly being taken to improve their educational and working conditions,» he noted.
On the occasion of the commencement of the new academic year, President Rahmon gifted students with school uniforms, educational aids and sweets.
The dormitory is designed to accommodate 550 individuals.
This was followed by the opening ceremony of the gymnasium for gifted students no. 4 in Dushanbe, which features multilevel buildings is built to accommodate 2,500 students per shift.
Following the opening of the school, President Rahmon met with teachers and students in honor of the Day of Knowledge and Lessons of Peace and congratulated them with the new academic year.
“We, the Tajik people, cherish peace and tranquility, and consider it a great blessing, because the people of Tajikistan obtained a peaceful life at a very high price,» he said.
He also emphasizes that Tajik parent should teach their children a culture of peace, national unity, security, and tranquility, and to educate them in the spirit of patriotism and humanism.
Instructions were issued by President Rahmon regarding the implementation of the 2030 Tajikistan Development Strategy, and the 2020-2025 Early Childhood Education Programs.
Over 210 new educational institution buildings designed for 100,000 students was planned to be built this year in honor of the 30th anniversary of state independence. The construction of most has been completed, with the majority having opened their doors to students.
President Rahmon stressed that 24 secondary schools for 31,000 students and 9 pre-school educational institutions for about 2,000 children have been built only in 2017-2020 in the capital. Their cost surpassed 450 million somoni.
In addition, as part of the action plan to celebrate the 30th anniversary of state independence in Dushanbe, the construction of 19 secondary schools with more than 41,000 seats and the construction of 7 preschool institutions for 1,900 children is underway.
Concluding his speech, President Rahmon called on the parents to closely monitor the process of education and upbringing of their children.
