President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon Chairs CSTO Heads of State Council Session

The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan, Chairman of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Emomali Rahmon chaired the session of the Collective Security Council of the CSTO.
Taking part in the session were Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, and the Secretary-General of the CSTO, Stanislav Zas.
Russian President Vladimir Putin took part via video link. The officials met in narrow format and then continued their talks with the presence of their delegations.
The Collective Security Council members discussed current international and regional security issues and the main results of CSTO’s activities during the intersession period and the implementation of the proposed priorities of Tajikistan, as well as issues related to the extremely difficult situation in Afghanistan.
With the Republic of Armenia taking over the CSTO presidency in 2022, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan spoke about his country’s priorities for the implementation.
CSTO Secretary General Zas delivered remarks about the documents prepared for consideration by the CSTO Collective Security Council.
Fourteen documents were adopted following the meeting. The heads of delegations of the CSTO member states signed the CSTO Collective Security Council Declaration.
Following the signing ceremony, CSTO Secretary General Zas held a press conference.
