DUSHANBE, 27.10.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon visited Levakand in Khatlon Province, where he took part in the inauguration ceremony of the secondary educational institution number 15, which was built to accommodate 640 students in two shifts.
The three story school has 18 well-furnished classrooms that are equipped with all the latest teaching aids. The school was build by the government of Tajikistan in cooperation with its development partners.
He also attended the opening ceremony of the Chemical Industry Professional Lyceum following its renovation. The school was founded on June 25, 1964 as a vocational school.
Following its establishment, over 14,400 people have graduated from the institution that offers primary vocational education. In previous years, the lyceum was the only institution in Central Asia and the Soviet Union that trained highly qualified specialists in chemical production.
President Rahmon graduated from this lyceum in 1971.
As part of his working trip, he also inspected project designs of the branch of the Institute of Entrepreneurship, Tourism and Service, which will be built on an area of 1.55 hectares.
Concluding his visit in Levakant, President Rahmon opened the Falhobod fish farm and the Recreation Park in Vakhsh village built in honor of the 30th anniversary of state independence.
