SCO Economic Officials Share View on Multilateral Cooperation

DUSHANBE, 15.10.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – The next meeting of the ministers in charge of foreign economic and trade activities of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) took place on October 14 via videoconference.
Tajikistan was represented by Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Abdurahmon Abdurahmonzoda, who shared his opinion with his colleagues on the current state and prospects for further developing multilateral trade, economic and investment cooperation within the SCO space.
Abdurahmonzoda noted that for the first nine months of 2021, Tajikistan’s foreign trade turnover with the SCO countries has amounted to more than 59% of the country’s total trade turnover.
A number of priority areas of cooperation within the SCO were also proposed.
