Tajikistan and Iran Note the Need to Increase Cooperation in the Implementation of Joint Projects

DUSHANBE, 28.10.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday in Tehran, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin met with the Minister of Energy of Iran, Co-chairman of the Joint Commission on Trade, Economic, Technical and Cultural Cooperation between Tajikistan and Iran Ali Akbar Mehrabian.
The meeting focused on issues of strengthening bilateral relations, including the implementation of agreements reached during the high level talks in Dushanbe in September of this year.
The parties also considered the implementation of decisions of the 14th meeting of the Joint Commission on Trade, Economic, Technical and Cultural Cooperation between Tajikistan and Iran.
The ministers also noted the need to use the existing bilateral capacity and opportunities to enhance cooperation and increase mutual benefits from the implemented joint projects.
The meeting took place as part of FM Muhriddin’s working visit to Tehran to attend the meeting of foreign ministers of Afghanistan’s neighboring countries + Russia.
