DUSHANBE, 29.11.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Muhriddin received the UN Under Secretary-General, Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Ghada Waly.
The meeting focused on bilateral cooperation within the framework of programs and projects of UNODC in the field of preventing and combating drug trafficking and crimes.
Muhriddin expressed his satisfaction with the level of cooperation of relevant authorities of Tajikistan with the UNODC on countering security challenges and threats, including international terrorism and extremism, cyber-crimes, illicit drug and human trafficking.
He also emphasized the role of the UN and its specialized agencies in eliminating negative phenomenon through the provision of technical assistance.
