DUSHANBE, 26.03.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda met with the President of the International Cycling Federation David Lappartient.
Prime Minister emphasized that the field of sports is one of the priority areas of the social policy of the Government of Tajikistan and on the basis of the taking constant measures by President of Tajikistan, the President of the Olympic Committee of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, a favorable basis was created for the popularization of sports, propaganda a healthy lifestyle, education of professional Tajik sports, holding sports events of the republican, regional and international level.
The holding of the Asian Road and Para Cycling Championships in Dushanbe with the participation of more than 400 athletes from 27 countries of the Asian region is evidence that Tajikistan is a safe country and has all the necessary conditions for this. The holding of the event in the field of promotion and development of cycling sports in the republic was also recognized as necessary and timely.
The parties expressed interest in signing documents and agreements that created a favorable legal framework for the development of cycling, and considered it necessary to further strengthen ties.
