Tajik and Kyrgyz Foreign Ministers Hold Telephone Conversation

DUSHANBE, 14.04.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Muhriddin had a telephone conversation with his Kyrgyz counterpart Ruslan Kazakbaev, reports the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan.
The conversation focused on the incident that took place on April 12 in Khistevarz of the Bobojon Gafurov district of the Sughd region of Tajikistan, as a result of which a Tajik citizen was killed.
Condemning the actions of the Kyrgyz border guards, Muhriddin demanded an objective investigation of the incident and to bring those responsible for the crime to justice.
They also exchanged views on topical issues of Tajik-Kyrgyz cooperation, discussed preparations for the meeting of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers scheduled for May 13 in Dushanbe and the meeting of Foreign Ministers of Central Asian countries.
The officials agreed to maintain constant communication.
