Five Schools Put Into Operation in Tajikistan Over the First Quarter of 2022
DUSHANBE, 06.05.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – From January through March 2022, five secondary schools for 4,330 students have been built and put into operation in Tajikistan, reports the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.
The schools in Khatlon region can accommodate 1,950 students, in the Sughd region – 1,540, in Dushanbe — 720, and in GBAO — 120.
According to official data, 3,240 new educational institutions for 1,400,000 students have been put into operation in the 30 years since the establishment of independence.
“The main step that lays the foundation for gaining knowledge is education. That is why the state and the government pay special attention to this issue and give priority to the education sector,” said President Emomali Rahmon in his speech at the opening ceremony of Gymnasium No. 4 for the Gifted in the Firdavsi district of Dushanbe on September 1, 2021.
