Parliamentary Delegation of Tajikistan Holds Meetings in Brussels

DUSHANBE, 13.05.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – On May 11, within the framework of the lX session of the Tajik-European Interparliamentary Cooperation Committee, the Tajik delegation headed by Deputy Chairman of the Assembly of Representatives Dilrabo Mansuri met with Vice-President of the European Parliament Heidi Hautala.
The meeting focused on various issues of cooperation between Tajikistan and the EU, with an emphasis on Tajikistan’s accession to the GSP+ Generalised Scheme of Preferences.
Tajik delegation also met with the Inter-parliamentary Friendship Group of Belgium and Tajikistan, headed by Senator Tim Vandenput.
The meeting focused on ways to further strengthen inter-parliamentary relations between Tajikistan and the Kingdom of Belgium.
The parties exchanged views on political and economic relations and other issues of mutual interest.
Special attention was paid to various international and regional issues, including the fight against terrorism, the situation in Afghanistan, and current trends in global politics.
