DUSHANBE, 22.09.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday in Ashgabat, the Ambassador of Tajikistan to Turkmenistan Farrukh Sharifzoda met with the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Central Asia, head of the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA) Natalya German.
Sharifzoda informed German about the recent tragic events and casualties on the border between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
The parties exchanged views on the current issues and prospects for the development of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and UNRCCA, as well as preparations for the upcoming high-level international conference on “International and Regional Border Security and Management Cooperation to Counter Terrorism and Prevent the Movement of Terrorists,» which will be held in Tajikistan from October 18 through October 19 within the framework of the Dushanbe Counter-Terrorism Process.
