Tajikistan and UNDP Expand Cooperation for Implementation of Joint Projects

DUSHANBE, 26.09.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – On September 24, on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Muhriddin met with the Administrator of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Achim Steiner.
The meeting focused on expanding bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and the UNDP for the implementation of joint projects in accordance with the recently approved country document for 2023-2026 by the UNDP Executive Board.
The parties also exchanged views on Tajikistan’s global initiatives for advancing the global water agenda, the UN-2023 Water Conference, and the upcoming Conference on Counter-Terrorism in Dushanbe.
Steiner expressed his satisfaction with the level of cooperation and expressed UNDP’s readiness to continue to promote Tajikistan’s priorities in the direction of sustainable socio-economic development.
