Tajikistan Signs Agreements with Venezuela, Serbia, and Morocco on Mutual Abolition of Visas for Holders of Diplomatic and Service Passports

DUSHANBE, 25.09.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – On September 23, on the sidelines of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Muhriddin met his counterpart from Venezuela Carlos Faria, Serbian Foreign Minister Nikola Selakovich, and that of Morocco Nasser Bourita.

The meeting with Faria focused on the development of bilateral relations between Tajikistan and Venezuela, among other issues.

The parties also signed an agreement between the governments of Tajikistan and Venezuela on the abolition of visa requirements for diplomatic and service passport holders.

During the meeting with Selakovich, Muhriddin talked about issues relating to Tajik- Serbian cooperation, including in the field of security, economy, as well as social, humanitarian, medical, and climate spheres.

They also signed an intergovernmental agreement on a visa-free regime for holders of diplomatic and service passports.

The meeting with Bourita focused on the current situation and prospects of the development of bilateral relations, as well as cooperation between the two countries within the framework of international organizations.

The parties emphasized their interest in strengthening bilateral political, trade, and economic relations, and in the fields of tourism and education.

The officials signed an agreement between the governments of Tajikistan and Morocco on the abolition of visa requirements for diplomatic and service passport holders.
