Strengthening Customs Cooperation Between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan Discussed In Tashkent

DUSHANBE. October 25, 2022 /NIAT «Khovar»/. Strengthening customs cooperation between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan was discussed in Tashkent by the Ambassador of Tajikistan to Uzbekistan Abdujabbor Rahmonzoda and the First Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan Ilkhom Mukhtorov.
The interlocutors expressed their interest in expanding cooperation between the relevant government agencies of the two countries and made proposals for strengthening the effective activities of customs services in the transportation of goods and products.
The discussion continued regarding speeding up customs inspections and preventing blocking of vehicles at checkpoints. An agreement was reached on the resumption and increase in the capacity of receiving traffic at the Bekobod checkpoint and the creation of new checkpoints of international importance.
