FM Muhriddin: Japan is One of the Important Development Partners of Tajikistan

DUSHANBE, 24.12.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Japan is one of the important development partners of Tajikistan. This was stated today by the Tajik Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Muhriddin at the 9th ministerial meeting of the Central Asia + Japan Dialogue.
The meeting, which was chaired by the Japanese Foreign Minister Hayashi Yoshimasa, focused on issues of expanding cooperation between Central Asia and Japan, the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals in the region and the strengthening of international and regional relations.
In his speech, Muhriddin noted that Japan is one of the important development partners of Tajikistan, and our constructive cooperation with Japan contributes to the implementation of the measures of theG of Tajikistan to improve the welfare of the people and ensure the sustainable development of the country.

In 2004, the Government of Japan established the Central Asia + Japan Dialogue to strengthen and expand regional cooperation.
As part of this Dialogue, 8 ministerial meetings, 15 meetings of senior officials at the level of Deputy FMs, 11 intellectual dialogues (Tokyo Dialogue), as well as 7 expert meetings and 2 business dialogues were held.
