Commentary on the Order of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan

DUSHANBE, 11.02.2023 (NIAT Khovar) — The President of the Republic of Tajikistan signed an Order to encourage the winners and prize-winners of international sports competitions and their coaches.
According to this order and on the basis of the decision of the Award Commission of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, 35 best athletes of the country, who are winners and prize-winners of international sports competitions, were awarded with the Prize of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The total amount of awards this year, allocated from the Special Fund of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, is 568 thousand 750 somoni. The amount of one prize for each athlete and their coaches is from 6,250 to 50,000 somoni.
The recipients of the Prize of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan are mainly those who won gold medals and prominent places in international competitions in boxing, judo, Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling, and taekwondo.
This appreciation of the Honorable Head of State Emomali Rahmon is for the development of sports and motivation of the respected athletes of Tajikistan and once again proves that the development of physical education and sports is always in the focus of attention of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the country.
It is worth mentioning that during the years of State Independence, the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan has developed and approved a number of normative legal acts regulating the field in order to increase the effectiveness of the system of physical education and sports.
Thanks to the wise policy of the Head of State, Tajik athletes had the opportunity to participate in hundreds of international competitions, as well as the Olympic Games.
Tajik athletes are achieving desired sports results year after year. In particular, during 2022, 650 athletes, including 34 female members of the national teams of the Republic of Tajikistan from Olympic and non-Olympic sports, were sent to 64 international-level sports competitions, as a result, 548 medals, including 150 gold, 162 silver and 236 bronze medals, which is 150 more medals than in 2021 (47 more gold, 41 more silver and 62 more bronze).
During this period, Tajik sportsmen showed great sportsmanship at the international level, raised the flag of Tajikistan 548 times, and the National Anthem was played 150 times thanks to their achievements in international competitions.
