Deputies of the Assembly of Representatives Attend a Meeting on Climate Change in Tashkent

DUSHANBE, 19.04.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the Deputies of the Assembly of Representatives of Tajikistan took part in the 9th meeting of representatives of the ministries of foreign affairs and deputies of the parliaments of the Central Asian countries on climate change in Tashkent.
Tajik representative spoke on the topic “Improvement of legislation, institutional framework and implementation of climate policy in the states of Central Asia, progress and fulfillment of commitments on climate”.
It was noted that today the entire world community has recognized the existence of the problem of climate change and the need for coordinated and global action. Almost all sectors of the economy, natural ecosystems and human health are becoming more vulnerable to adverse weather events and persistent long-term climate change trends.
