Somon Air and Kayan Travel Group Sign a MoU in Order to Develop Air Transportation

DUSHANBE, 13.04.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Somon Air and Kayan Travel Group of the Saudi Arabia signed a memorandum of understanding.
During the meeting of the parties, which took place on April 11, an agreement was reached on establishing mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of air transportation and establishing communications for citizens of both countries traveling between the two states for business, tourism, medical and educational purposes, as well as cargo transportation.
According to the terms of the MoU, Somon Air intends to develop flights on the Dushanbe-Jeddah route, and Kayan Travel Group to attract passengers from the Saudi Arabia to Tajikistan for tourism, business, educational, medical and other purposes.
Somon Air launched direct regular flights on the Dushanbe-Jeddah route in March this year. Currently, flights from Dushanbe to Jeddah are operated weekly on Tuesdays and Fridays. Departure time from Dushanbe is 21:50, as well as from Jeddah is 02:50 (Wednesday and Saturday) local time.
To date, Somon Air operates regular flights from Tajikistan to Germany, the UAE, Turkiye, India, Russia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. The company has available Boeing 737-800 and 737-900 aircrafts.
