Tajikistan Strengthens Technical and Advisory Cooperation with the World Bank

DUSHANBE, 17.04.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Issues related to technical and advisory cooperation for the effective management of international resources were discussed at the meeting of the Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Hokim Kholikzoda with the World Bank Treasury Director Teresa Keche and the World Bank Advisory Partnership and Resource Management program manager George Bentley in Washington.
The meeting was held as part of the spring meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group, Kholikzoda expressed satisfaction with cooperation with the World Bank within the framework of the Advisory Partnership and Resource Management program to provide technical and advisory assistance.
The National Bank of Tajikistan has been a member of the Advisory Partnership and Resource Management program since 2016 and is doing significant work in cooperation with the World Bank towards the effective management of international resources. Also, program drew the attention of the World Bank to the effective management of international resources, taking into account the situation in the financial market and the uncertainty in the monetary policy of states.
The parties expressed their readiness for technical and advisory cooperation for the effective management of international resources through the use of new levers of the financial market and advanced training of employees of the National Bank of Tajikistan through consultations and study tours.
