DUSHANBE, 29.06.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – On June 29, a meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan was held in the building of the Government under the chairmanship of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Head of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon.
At the meeting, the report of the Director of the Agency for Melioration and Irrigation, Zafarbek Davlatzoda, was first heard on the Investment Program to provide pumping stations of the Agency for Melioration and Irrigation under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan with modern energy-saving equipment for 2023-2027.
It was emphasized that the Program is aimed at implementing the goals of the National Development Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan for the period up to 2030, the Action Plan of the Water Sector Reform Program of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2016-2025 and other sectoral acts on the reconstruction and restoration of irrigation infrastructure, preventing the risk of agricultural turnover of the pumped irrigation zone, as well as the introduction of modern and energy-saving equipment to save electricity through pumping stations.
President Emomali Rahmon instructed to approve the Investment Program to provide pumping stations with modern energy-saving equipment, and the Agency for Melioration and Irrigation under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, together with the executive bodies of state power of regions, cities and districts, to take the necessary measures to implement the program and attract investments.
Then the members of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan discussed the draft Decree of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan on the Work Plan of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan for the second half of 2023.
During the meeting, drafts of a number of laws of the Republic of Tajikistan were considered, including On the draft Constitutional Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On making additions to the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On the prosecutor’s office of the Republic of Tajikistan”, On the draft Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On making additions to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Education”, On the Draft Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Amendments to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Higher and Postgraduate Vocational Education”, On the Draft Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Amendments to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On the National Bank of Tajikistan”, and were submitted for discussion to the Majlisi namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Members of the Government of the country discussed 5 proposals of conclusions of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, including on the submission of the conclusion of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan to the draft Constitutional Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Amendments to the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Elections of Deputies to Local Majlises of People’s Deputies” and on the submission of conclusions of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan to the draft Law of the Republic of Tajikistan «On Amendments to the Civil Procedure Code of the Republic of Tajikistan» and submitted for discussion to the Majlisi namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan.
At the meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the issues of the Strategy for regulating migration processes in the Republic of Tajikistan for the period up to 2040, the Program for reforming the justice system for children for 2023-2027 and the results of the state quantitative accounting of land in the administrative territory of the city of Nurek, Khatlon Province as of January 1, 2022 were also considered.
After considering the issues of the meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, President Emomali Rahmon gave instructions on the timely and high-quality implementation of previous programs and instructions of the Government of the country.
Other instructions were given to the Government of the country and state structures to prepare for the autumn-winter period of 2023-2024, prepare educational institutions for the new academic year, prevent and eliminate the consequences of natural disasters associated with mudflows and floods, sufficient reserve of agricultural products, effective collection of harvest in the fields, expansion of creative work in honor of the 35th anniversary of state independence and other creative measures.
