DUSHANBE, 03.07.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Workers and specialists of state institutions for the maintenance of roads in GBAO and SUE «Badakhshonrohsoz» are working to eliminate the consequences of a natural disaster using eights equipment.

On June 27, as a result of heavy rains, an increase in air temperature and accelerated snowmelt in the foothills of the Roshtkala district, a mudflow came down, causing significant damage. In particular, almost 4 km of roads turned out to be under the mudflow, the damage caused is 1,000,000 somoni.

On June 28, per instructions of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, a Governmental Commission was established to eliminate the consequences of a natural disaster in the Roshtkala district.

It was instructed to immediately take measures to ensure the safety of affected family members on the banks of the Shohdara River, including to relocate them to safe places, provide them with food and other necessary living conditions, as well as to restore the affected houses of residents.

On June 29, the Head of State once again gave specific tasks to the heads of relevant ministries and departments for the timely elimination of the consequences of a natural disaster in the Roshtkala district.
