Tajik Minister of Education Imomzoda Meets with German Ambassador Protmann
DUSHANBE, 17.02.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – On Friday, the Minister of Education and Science of Tajikistan Muhammadyusuf Imomzoda met with German Ambassador to Tajikistan Andreas Protmann.
The meeting focused on existing cooperation in the field of education and science, reports the Tajik Ministry of Education and Science.
Cooperation between the two countries is implemented on the annual protocol of the Tajik-German Intergovernmental Commission on Financial and Technical Cooperation and programs by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) in Tajikistan.
At present, the German language is being taught in four Tajik universities, and about 200 Tajik citizens are studying at German universities.
“In Germany special attention is paid to studying the Tajik language and German students are studying the Tajik language in summer camps,” Protmann noted.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to further expand cooperation and increasing the number of scholarships, exchange of experience between teachers and professors in the field of preschool education and professional development of teachers as well as to conduct joint events.
