Tajikistan’s Investment Opportunity Presented to the Czech Business Community

DUSHANBE, 18.07.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – The total investment volume of the Czech Republic in the economy of Tajikistan is more than 500 million somoni, of which more than 80 million somoni are direct investments. It was noted at the industrial and investment forum of Tajikistan and the Czech Republic, which took place today in Dushanbe.
The business and investment circles of the Czech Republic were informed about the investment space of Tajikistan, about regulatory legal acts that promote the development of entrepreneurship and investment in the country.
Minister of Industry and Commerce of the Czech Republic Jozef Sikeli stressed the importance of holding the Industrial and Investment forum to strengthen Tajik-Czech cooperation in priority economic areas, including mechanical engineering, energy, and logistics.
He added that there are a lot of untapped opportunities between Tajikistan and the Czech Republic, holding the forum is a great platform for attracting investment, developing entrepreneurship, increasing the industrial and export potential of both states.
It was stressed that the holding of forum contributes to the development of trade and economic cooperation, increasing export potential, attracting investment, importing modern Czech-made technologies to Tajikistan and strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation between Tajikistan and the Czech Republic.
Taking into account the availability of broad opportunities for cooperation and the continuous continuation of the implementation of the reformed measures by the government of Tajikistan, Czech business and investment circles called for a worthy contribution to the implementation of investment and commercial projects and to pay more attention to the creation of joint industrial enterprises.
Czech business and investment circles were also presented with spaces and opportunities for investment in priority sectors, including industry, energy, services, agriculture, tourism, logistics and transport.
As part of the forum, Tajik and Czech entrepreneurs held B2B meetings, and signed documents on cooperation in services, bilateral trade, agriculture, healthcare, transport and light industry.
Czech business and investment circles are expected to visit industrial enterprises of Tajikistan and free economic zones of the country.
