DUSHANBE, 19.07.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – On July 19, the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, before participating in the First Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and the Arab countries of the Gulf, arrived from the city of Jeddah to the city of Mecca in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, visited the Holy Qibla of Muslims — the Kaaba in the holy city of Mecca.

The Leader of the Tajik Nation Emomali Rahmon put on the special clothes of Hajj-Ihram ceremony, entered the house of the Almighty and prayed 2 rakats of nafl prayer inside Kaabatullah.

Then, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, and his accompanying delegation performed 7 times circumambulation of the Kaaba, i.e., circumambulation of the Muslim Qibla on the Earth.

After circumambulating the Kaaba, the President of the country, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, prayed 2 rakats of nafl prayer behind the statue of Prophet Ibrahim Khalilullah, which is on one side of the Kaabatullah.

Honorable Head of State Emomali Rahmon and the accompanying delegation prayed for the future progress and prosperity of Tajikistan — the home of hope for all Tajiks of the world and for the peace and prosperity of the noble Tajik people.

Then, the Leader of the Nation drank Zamzam water with an expression of wishes and good intentions in front of the Zamzam well and climbed to the foot of Safa mountain to walk 7 times in sa’i, that is, between Safa and Marwa mountains. It is necessary to move from Safa to Marwa 4 times and vice versa three times.

After finishing the sai’ at the foot of Marwa mountain, the hair should be cut or shortened. With the implementation of this tradition, the ceremony of Umra of the Tajik delegation led by the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, was completed.

It is worth mentioning that this pilgrimage is taking place for the fifth time.

With the grace and kindness of the Lord of the world and with the special attention and respect of the servant of the Holy Haramain, the King of Saudi Arabia, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon managed to enter the symbolic house of God — Kaabatullah three times and perform 2 rakat prayers for blessings for dear Tajikistan and its honorable people.

Continuous support for the pure name of the religion of Islam in the region and the world, the publication of the Holy Qur’an in Tajik language several times and the celebration of the 1310th anniversary of the founder of the Hanafi sect of tolerance, Abu Hanifa Nu’man ibn Thabit — Imam Azam, are among his meritorious services. They are the leaders of the Tajik nation in the Islamic world, who have raised him to high honor.

Emomali Rahmon, President of Tajikistan and the leader of the Tajiks of the world, has gained such a high honor. This is why he has been included in the list of 500 most influential Muslims in the world many times.

It should be noted that until now the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, has made official and working visits to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1997, 2001, 2005, 2016 and 2017.

It is an occasion to be happy and grateful that the President and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan implement good measures for citizens and pilgrims who have the goal of circumambulating the Kaaba and visiting the tomb of the Prophet of Islam Muhammad Mustafa (pbuh). The conditions of travel and stay of pilgrims are being improved by the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan in cooperation with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
