DUSHANBE, 17.11.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – From November 23 through November 28, the 14th World Kurash Wrestling Championship 2023 will be held in Ashgabat (Turkmenistan).

For the first time in the history of Tajikistan, 7 Tajik wrestlers will take part in the World Kurash Wrestling Championship.

Competitions will be held in 14 weight categories, including 7 between men and 7 between women. 400 athletes from 57 countries will take part in the championship.

Tajikistan will be represented by Muslimbek Karimov in weight up to 60 kg, Khairandesh Murodzoda in weight up to 66 kg, Navruz Karimzod in weight up to 73 kg, Mirzojamil Ramazonov in weight up to 81 kg, Haknazar Nazarov in weight up to 90 kg, Firdavs Nasimov in weight up to 100 kg and Khurshed Majidov in weight +100 kg.
