Speaker of the National Assembly Rustam Emomali Attends the International Conference in honor of the 95th Anniversary of Chingiz Aitmatov
DUSHANBE, 17.11.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – On November 17, as part of a working visit and on the sidelines of the 56th plenary meeting of the CIS IPA in Bishkek, the Speaker of the National Assembly, Chairman of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali took part and made speech at the international conference dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the People’s writer of the Kyrgyz Republic Chingiz Aitmatov.
The conference was attended by leaders and members of CIS parliamentary delegations, representatives of international organizations and literary circles.
Rustam Emomali expressed his opinion regarding the fruitful activity and rich creativity of the outstanding Kyrgyz writer — playwright, screenwriter and talented publicist Chingiz Aitmatov, and also noted that his artistic heritage in Tajikistan and other countries is valued due to the presence of high ideals and eternal values.
It was emphasized that Aitmatov in Tajikistan is known not only as a writer, but also as a person with high moral qualities.
«He made a lot of efforts to strengthen friendship between the Tajik and Kyrgyz peoples. The sincere friendship of the Hero of Tajikistan Mirzo Tursunzade and the People’s Writer of the Kyrgyz Republic Chingiz Aitmatov is very instructive. It occupies a special place in strengthening literary and cultural relations between the two states,» noted Speaker of the National Assembly.
The guests were also presented with documentaries about the life and creative work of Chingiz Aitmatov, and theatrical performances of his works.
