President of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Visit Tajikistan This Year

DUSHANBE, 11.01.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – “The issues of cooperation between Tajikistan and Turkiye in the fields of economy, trade, security, education and tourism were discussed at a meeting with the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon,” said Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkiye Hakan Fidan yesterday in Dushanbe following the meeting.
According to him, Turkiye and Tajikistan have established strong and sustainable ties that have continued for many years.
«On this basis, we decided to expand relations between the two countries in all directions and sectors through joint initiative and the will of the heads of state,” added Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkiye.
Fidan noted that today’s meetings focused on the ways for Turkish entrepreneurs to participate in the implementation of economic and trade projects.
“In particular, we had the opportunity to discuss in detail the issues of financing and investing in some projects,” he stated.
According to him, cooperation in the field of education was also an important part of today’s meeting.
“We plan for more Tajik students to study in Turkiye, in this context there is a request from Tajikistan,” emphasized Fidan.
It was noted that an exchange of views took place on issues of bilateral relations, as well as regional and security, including the political situation in Afghanistan.
Fidan emphasized that this year the President of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan is expected to visit Tajikistan.
