Tajikistan Strengthens Cooperation with the Goethe Institute of Germany

DUSHANBE, 31.01.2024 (NIAT Khovar) — On January 26, the Ambassador of Tajikistan to Germany Imomudin Sattorov met with the Secretary General of the Goethe Institute Johannes Ebert.
The meeting focused on the issues of strengthening the study of German language in Tajikistan, continuation of traditional cooperation with educational institutions of the country and advanced training of teachers in this field for further development of German language teaching.
The parties also agreed on the possibility of opening Goethe-Institut language and examination centres in one of the administrative centres of the republic’s regions, as well as on strengthening the activities of German language learning centres in cities and districts of Tajikistan.
The representative office of the Goethe Institute in Tashkent also covers Tajikistan.
It should be noted that since 2010, the Dushanbe Language Centre (SLZ) has been an official partner of the Goethe Institute in Tashkent.
