Installation of Radars Bigins in Dushanbe

DUSHANBE, 22.02.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – The installation of radars has begun in Dushanbe, which will record 19 types of violations by drivers and send them to a single database.
The radars will be installed at intersections, passenger terminals, stops, entrances to the city and in places with heavy traffic. They will record such violations as not wearing seat belts, stopping in the second and third lines, stops, driving into the oncoming lane, obstructing other vehicles, etc.
It is noted that the purpose of installing the equipment is to ensure road safety and reduce the number of traffic police officers.
Currently, 23 complex radars and 16 photo and video recording cameras are operating in test mode. They were installed in the busiest areas. In general, over six months, more than 300 cameras will appear at 135 intersections in Dushanbe, including on highways.
