DUSHANBE, 16.02.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – From February 16 through February 20, sharp cold temperatures and rain turning to snow are expected in Tajikistan. Heavy snowfall is possible in the mountainous areas. Snow drifts, swells and icy conditions are forecast on mountain roads.
The Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense asks citizens to limit their movement unless absolutely necessary on mountain roads, refrain from carrying out agricultural work, grazing livestock, collecting firewood and hunting in mountainous areas, as well as strictly observe fire safety rules when using electric heating devices, stoves.
