Tajikistan, Saudi Arabia Explore Investment Opportunities in Key Sectors

The Speaker of Lower Chamber of Parliament of Tajikistan, Faizali Idizoda, met with Muhammad Saleh Al-Suwaih, co-chairman of the Tajikistan–Saudi Arabia Working Council and chairman of the board of the Al-Injaz International Holding Group, to discuss expanding bilateral economic cooperation, the lower chamber’s press service said.
During the meeting, the sides said relations between Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia continue to develop on the basis of mutual understanding and shared interests.
The discussions focused on economic and trade cooperation, including investment opportunities in hydropower, free economic zones, agricultural processing, mining and tourism. The participants noted that significant untapped potential remains for increasing bilateral trade and economic ties.
They also highlighted the role of the Joint Working Council in promoting direct business contacts and facilitating trade between the two countries.
Al-Suwaih expressed Saudi Arabia’s readiness to strengthen cooperation and increase direct investment in projects in Tajikistan.
Idizoda said the Majlisi Namoyandagon, the lower chamber of Tajikistan’s parliament, continues efforts to improve the legal framework through legislation and the ratification of international agreements, with the aim of supporting the development of various sectors of the economy.
