Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilhom Abdurahmon met with Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Co-Chairman of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation between Tajikistan and Azerbaijan Mukhtar Babayev.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the implementation of previously reached agreements by the parties in trade-economic, industrial, transport and investment and other spheres of cooperation, as well as the issue of holding the next meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on trade-economic cooperation between Tajikistan and Azerbaijan.

The sides also considered issues of interaction between Tajikistan and Azerbaijan within the framework of the Third High-Level International Conference on the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028” and the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29).
