President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan meets with the Prime Minister of Tajikistan

DUSHANBE, 23.08.2024 /NIAT “Khovar”/. Today the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who is in Dushanbe on a state visit, met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda.
The parties discussed the most important issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation and expressed interest in strengthening ties.
It was noted that 39 cooperation documents were signed between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan in 2023, which play an effective role in strengthening multilateral cooperation between the two states. In general, more than 150 documents on cooperation regulate relations between the two states.
It was emphasized that Kazakhstan is one of the strategic partner states of Tajikistan in the region, and of in the structure of foreign trade of Tajikistan in 2023 took the fourth place with a share of 13.8 percent.
