Tajik Ambassador meets with Hamadon province chairman to discuss cooperation between regions

DUSHANBE, 19.08.2024 /NIAT Khovar/. On August 16-17, 2024, within the framework of working visit to Hamadan province of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan Nizomiddin Zohidi met with the Chairman of the province Alireza Ghasemi Farzad.
During the meeting, the parties, expressing satisfaction with the expansion of cooperation between Tajikistan and Iran, emphasized the need to activate multifaceted relations between the provinces of the two countries, including Khatlon of Tajikistan and Hamadon of Iran.
Alireza Ghasemi Farzad, stressing the potential and opportunities of Hamadan province in the spheres of industry, agriculture, medicine, culture and tourism, expressed readiness of economic entities of the province to exchange experience between specialists, organize joint economic and trade events and expand bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting the issues of activation of twinning relations between Hamadan and Kulob were also discussed, and the role of great thinker Mir Sayyid Ali Hamadani as a link between these two ancient cities was emphasized.
