Tajikistan, Egypt aim to strengthen trade, economic relations

DUSHANBE, 24.09.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – On 23 September 2024, in New York the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates of the Arab Republic of Egypt Mr. Badr Abdelatty.
At the meeting, the sides exchanged views on a number of important bilateral and multilateral issues, including strengthening political, economic, investment, trade, scientific and educational cooperation, and expressed interest of the parties in expanding these relations.
Also, during the meeting, the parties noted the importance of promoting water and climate issues and considered it necessary to support the process of implementing the UN Water Agenda, especially SDG 6.
In order to implement joint plans in these areas, it was considered to organize bilateral visits between Tajikistan and Egypt.
